Susan Stroman, winner of the Tony award for both direction and choreography of the original Broadway production of The Producers, will direct and choreograph the fully staged production of The Producers at the Hollywood Bowl.

Based on Mel Brooks’ Oscar-winning 1968 film, this Broadway smash hit won a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards. In 2005, Stroman made her directorial debut as a feature filmmaker with a film adaptation of The Producers, which was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards.

In addition to the producers, Stroman's Broadway work includes The Scottsboro Boys, Contact, Crazy for You, Show Boat, Oklahoma!, Young Frankenstein, The Frogs, The Music Man, Thou Shalt Not, Steel Pier, Big, Picnic. Off-Broadway, her work includes The Scottsboro Boys; Happiness; Flora, the Red Menace; And the World Goes 'Round; MSG's A Christmas Carol. NYC Opera: A Little Night Music, 110 in the Shade, Don Giovanni. Ballet: Double Feature (NYCB), For the Love of Duke (NYCB), But Not for Me (Martha Graham), Take Five...More or Less (PNB). Film: Center Stage (American Choreography Award), The Producers: The Movie Musical (four Golden Globe nominations). A five-time Tony Award winner, Stroman's work has been honored with Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics, Lucille Lortel, George Abbott and Astaire awards.

The Producers will run at the Hollywood Bowl July 27 – 29, 2012; no casting has yet been announced.
