The Daily Mail writes that Summer Strallen has signed on for tomorrow's January 30th workshop reading of Ken Ludwig's new adaptation of Irving Berlin's EASTER PARADE, featuring additional songs by Berlin and helmed by Jerry Mitchell.

Strallen joins Sheridan Smith, Alex Gaumond (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Dan Burton (Chichester's Gypsy) and Sophie Isaacs (Made In Dagenham) in the cast.

The 1948 movie version of EASTER PARADE, featuring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland, included songs such as "Easter Parade", "It Only Happens When I Dance With You", "Steppin' Out With My Baby" and more.

Strallen will play 'Nadine Hale' (Ann Miller's role in the film), 'Don Hewes' (Astaire) old dance partner who becomes jealous of his friendship with 'Hannah Brown' (Garland).

Strallen has appeared in the West End in TOP HAT, LOVE NEVER DIES, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, THE BOY FRIEND and GUYS AND DOLLS.

This revamped production of EASTER PARADE is aiming for a West End debut next year.
