Back by popular demand, Broadway star and R&B singer Shayna Steele will head to the famed Blue Note on September 11 for two shows beginning at 8 PM.

Led by musical director David Cook, the band will cover songs from Steele's recent self-titled EP.

Steele's Broadway credits include Rent (in which she was the first replacement), Jesus Christ Superstar and Hairspray She has also appeared on the Grammy Awards, as well as on "David Letterman," "The Tonight Show," the Tony Awards, and most recently, HBO's "The Sopranos." 

"As a writer, her love and life experiences are woven into songs that move your body and your mind. Add to that an 11-piece band with musicians from the bands of Beyonce to Justin Timberlake to Dr. Dre to the Lincoln Center Jazz and Latin Jazz Orchestras - and you have a powerhouse combination that has the industry buzzing," state press notes on the show.

In addition, Steele will play Vinyl in Atlanta, GA on October 6th and Joe's Pub in New York on November 27th.
