Senator Jeffrey Klein Holds 15th Annual Senior Appreciation Days At Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre 9/3, 9/4
Senator Jeffrey Klein, known for his outstanding commitment to seniors' concerns and issues, will be hosting his 15th Annual Senior Appreciation Days at Westchester Broadway Theatre!
He recently announced the winners of his Senior Appreciation Days Raffle. The raffle was open to all residents of the 34th senate district over the age of 65. Senator Klein appeared throughout the district, drawing hundreds of names from a list of over two thousand hopeful entrants for a chance to enjoy an all expenses paid afternoon at the Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre, along with a three course hot lunch, and a very special senior resource fair. 1000 lucky winners from across the district were selected to join Senator Klein for a private viewing of the Off-Broadway smash hit, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change! on September 3rd and 4th 2009.
"I wanted to offer my constituents a taste of one of the great recreational resources in our state, an institution which generations of New Yorkers have enjoyed: The Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre. There are so many wonderful things to do in Bronx and Westchester Counties that we don't always have the time to get to in the normal course of our lives. My 15th Annual Senior Appreciation Days is a great way to do something special for a community of people for whom we can not do enough: our seniors," said Senator Klein.
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, the laugh-inducing, award-winning musical comedy about love in the suburbs, is often described as "Seinfeld set to music". It's a hilarious look at love and relationships that is as touching and insightful as it is humorous. Four actors play over forty roles scaling the dizzying spectrum of male/female relationships. The trials and tribulations of being single, dating, marriage, loss, and heartbreak - and everything in the relationship process that you have ever secretly thought about, but were afraid to admit - are cleverly explored.
It is hailed as the most "proposal-friendly" musical. There have been 61 wedding proposals at the show and, happily, the responses to all were a resounding YES!
As the longest running Off-Broadway musical, it premiered at New York City's Westside Theatre and was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Off-Broadway musical in 1997. Tickets and information at WBT: (914)592-2222
