Opening the new concert series "Broadway's Brightest Lights" on Monday night, October 4th at 8:30pm will be Michael Arden. Future concerts will take place on additional Monday's in October with such stars as Gavin Creel (October 18) and Dana Reeve (October 25).

In the show, Michael will be performing the works of four composers - Ricky Ian Gordon, John Bucchino, Jason Robert Brown, and last, but certainly not least, his own music as well. Accompanying him will be Matt Richardson on piano, Clara Kennedy on cello, and Victoria Paterson on the violin.

Arden, a recent recipient of the 2004 Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater (for the ensemble of Big River), will soon reprise his role as Peter in Off-Broadway's Bare. He has also appeared on Broadway in Big River and in New York in The Vampire Lestat, It's Only Life: The Music of John Bucchino and Harold & Maude. His regional credits include God Of Vengeance, Falsettoland, Art, West Side Story, Songs For A New World, The Common Pursuit, and A Winter's Tale. Arden's musical compositions include Easter Rising, As You Like It, and currently Ripley. Michael is a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and trained at The Juilliard School.

The show takes place at Fienstein's at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street) on Monday, October 4th at 8:30 pm. There is a $25 cover and two drink minimum.
