Scott Shuptrine Interiors, which has three luxury furniture galleries in Grand Rapids, Royal Oak and Petoskey, welcomes four new interior designers to its team.

Whitney Kane, Patrick Adams, and Michelle Daniel have joined the Royal Oak team (32301 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak, MI 48073), and Ashley Whitley will work in Petoskey (located inside Art Van Furniture at 1619 Anderson Road, Petoskey, MI 49770).

Whitney Kane
Interior Designer, Royal Oak Gallery

Whitney Kane is a Nashville native who received a degree in Interior Design from O'More College of Design in historic Franklin Tennessee. Her southern background has imbued her with in-depth knowledge of traditional design, which she likes to combine with more contemporary elements to achieve interior spaces that are collected rather than decorated. Kane is an enthusiastic designer who loves connecting with people. In fact, she's volunteered to design the company's installation at this year's DIFFA Dining by Design Detroit event in September. Kane resides in Royal Oak. She can be reached at akane@scottshuptrine.com or by calling 248-549-9105.

Patrick Adams
Interior Designer, Royal Oak Gallery

Patrick Adams, who received a bachelor's of fine art in painting and sculpture, is guided by the philosophy that good design starts first with function. Once function is established, then follows style, color, texture and then a bit of attitude to define and refine a space. He comes to Scott Shuptrine Interiors after serving as an Interior Designer at Gorman's for two years and Art Van Furniture for three years. Adams resides in Berkley. He can be contacted atpadams@scottshuptrine.com or 248-549-9105.

Michelle Daniel
Interior Designer, Royal Oak Gallery

Michelle joins the Scott Shuptrine Interiors family with an extensive background in both interior design and style. She received a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in interior design and an associate's degree in interior architecture from Henry Ford Community College. Daniel formerly worked for eight years as a designer at Thomasville Furniture and four years at Gorman's Furniture. Her background has given her a keen understanding of the interior and also the architectural needs of each space. Daniel currently resides in Harper Woods with her Yorkie, Winston. She can be contacted at mdaniel@scottshuptrine.com or 248-549-9105.

Ashley Whitley
Interior Designer, Petoskey Gallery

A graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in interior design, Ashley Whitley comes to Scott Shuptrine Interiors in Petoskey with experience in commercial and residential design, and project management. Whitley formerly worked for Periwinkle Lane Interiors as an interior designer and project manager. With a flair for the Northern Michigan cottage aesthetic, she has extensive experience visualizing, creating and ordering custom upholstery and draperies - with attention to pattern mixing and layering - to create unique spaces. She resides in Boyne City with her daughter, Hazel. Petoskey area customers interested in making an appointment with Whitley may contact her at awhitley@scottshuptrine.com or call231.348.2013.
