What do Broadway kids do in between Broadway show engagements? Some of them train and perform at New York City's public performing arts schools specifically designed for these working kids and other aspiring, young performers. Sam Poon ( Macbeth, The King and I (2015), Les Miserables Nat'l Tour, Billy Elliot Nat'l Tour) along with middle school classmates attending the Professional Performing Arts School in the heart of Manhattan's Theater District, are rehearsing and performing the show Fame jr. Sam Poon, starring as Nick, is joined by many young, Broadway veterans who have appeared in shows such as Matilda, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Motown.

"Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts, Fame JR. is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor, and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today." Not much unlike the work the students are doing within the walls of the professional performing Arts School.

Performances are held at : 328 West 48th Street, New York, NY 10036
