Saban Brands reported from the 2013 International Licensing Expo today that the growth of its Paul Frank fashion and lifestyle brand remains strong, supported by aggressive retail expansion and an expanding base of licensing partnerships and new product introductions.

Paul Frank's strongest retail growth continues in China, where it plans to have a total of 100 Paul Frank flagship stores open by the end of the year. The brand is also introducing new store concepts, which include Paul Frank Kids and Paul Frank Accessories stores, and are slated to open in 2014. There are currently 60 Paul Frank stand-alone store locations in China. Paul Frank is also seeing notable expansion of its retail presence in other markets around the world including the Philippines, Peru and Hong Kong.

Saban Brands continues to support Paul Frank's retail growth with a robust global marketing and licensing strategy that has amplified the brand's success in North America, grown its popularity for both males and females across demographics from infants to adults and contributed to strong demand for the brand in international markets. Currently, Paul Frank has more than 200 licensees around the world. The brand plans to continue to launch new products across a wide variety of categories including sporting goods, electronics and musical instruments.

"With the iconic Julius the monkey and the brand's fun, colorful and quirky nature, it's no wonder Paul Frank continues to grow its fan base around the world," said Kirk Bloomgarden, Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products. "We're pleased that Paul Frank continues to have such an international appeal and look forward to continuing the expansion into new territories."

Due to the rapid growth of all Saban Brands' properties, the company has plans to open new offices in London, England and Shanghai, China later this year.
