Basically, Julie Andrews loves Kelli O'Hara. And who doesn't?! Watch a clip from yesterday's (November 30) ceremony recognizing the Oklahoma City University alumna and THE KING AND I Broadway star with an honorary doctorate. To O'Hara's surprise, the legendary Andrews wrote a glowing letter for the occasion. See her reaction below!

Along with the honorary degree, O'Hara received a key to the city from Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, as well as a piano tribute from OCU associate professor of music Jan McDaniel, and a standing ovation from the whole auditorium.

O'Hara graduated from OCU in 1998 with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Opera. The actress won her first Tony Award this year for her performance in Broadway's THE KING AND I. Among her past credits on the Great White Way are THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, SOUTH PACIFIC, THE PAJAMA GAME, THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, DRACULA, THE MUSICAL, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS, FOLLIES and JEKYLL & HYDE.
