Hugh Jackman and Luke Evans visited the Jonathan Ross Show this week. While they were there, they had a sing-off to determine which of the two is the best Gaston, given that Gaston was one of Jackman's first stage roles and that Evans is set to play Gaston in the upcoming live action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Check out the video here!

Disney's live action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast/Prince, Luke Evans as the vain villain Gaston and Josh Gad as his sidekick Le Fou. The film marks the return of composer Alan Menken and lyricist Tim Rice, who will provide new songs for the film, which also features songs from the animated classic written by Menken and the late Howard Ashman.

The Bill Condon-helmed project follows the classic French fairy tale of a young woman who takes her father's 'place as a prisoner in a monstrous being's castle, only to fall in love with the creature who turns out to be a prince.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is set for release on March 17, 2017.

Hugh Jackman most recently appeared on Broadway in THE RIVER. He will soon be seen on the big screen in EDDIE THE EAGLE. Other film projects include PAN, PRISONERS and X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Greatest Showman on Earth. Jackman has appeared on Broadway in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, A Steady Rain and The Boy From Oz -- for which he won the 2004 Tony Award -- as well as off-Broadway's Carousel. In 2012, Jackman was honored with a Tony Award Special Award for Extraordinary Contribution to the Theatre Community.
