Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein was recently honored at the 3rd Annual Logo Trailblazer Honors. In his acceptance speech, Fierstein took the opportunity to speak to the LGBT community in the wake of the Orlando shooting, telling the community to "put your arms around each other" and reinforcing that the community is "surrounded" with love and acceptance. Harvey Fierstein is currently represented on Broadway by KINKY BOOTS (which just opened in the West End) and is also behind NEWSIES, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (in which he also starred), A CATERED AFFAIR, LEGS DIAMOND, SAFE SEX and TORCH SONG TRILOGY. He has also starred on Broadway in FIDDLER AND THE ROOF and HAIRSPRAY and is set to take part in NBC's Hairspray Live.
