STAGE TUBE: Goodbye To Alex Gaumond As He Prepares To Leave LEGALLY BLONDE

Alex Gaumond, Emmett in the original London cast of Legally Blonde, leaves the show this weekend - so we at BWW:UK thought it would be nice to look back on his time with the production with a clip from the first part of the run. Here he's singing Legally Blonde with original (Olivier Award-winning) Elle Sheridan Smith.

Personally we can't imagine anyone else in the role now - Alex has personified the character so well, with the right amounts of goofy charm, shyness and leading-man heroics. Lee Mead, who takes over next week, will have a huge job on his hands.

We also really enjoyed meeting him earlier this year for this interview, where he talked about all his fabulous leading ladies, his amazing attendance record, and his cabaret work.
