STAGE TUBE: Cast of HAIR Performs on New Year's Eve!

The complete Tony Award-winning, Grammy Award-nominated Broadway cast of HAIR gave a performance from the smash hit musical on New Year's Eve in the heart of Times Square.Diane Paulus, Director of HAIR, staged the number, which will air on NBC's "Countdown with Carson Daly." Other musical guests on the broadcast include Green Day and Rhianna.

HAIR, which opened on Broadway earlier this year (and has recently appeared on many ‘Best of the Year' lists), won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle also recently honored the production with their 2009 award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Directed by Diane Paulus and choreographed by Karole Armitage, HAIR features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot. HAIR continues its triumphant run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC) and will open in a London production, beginning performances on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Gielgud Theatre.
