On Monday, October 4, Candide cast members performed at the "Monday Night Live" cabaret series at Petterino's restaurant, adjacent to the Goodman.

Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) and Joey Stone performed fun folk pop mash-ups of Bernstein songs such as "Glitter and be Gay"/ "Words, Words, Words" and "Easily Assimilated" on the ukulele, while Geoff Packard (Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages) delighted with his jazzy rendition of "Stardust".

The following is the video of Lauren Molina and Joey Stone's new arrangement of "Words, Words, Words" and "Glitter and Be Gay", both "laughing songs" from CANDIDE by Leonard Bernstein.

Performances will play Chicago's Goodman to Oct. 31 (representing a one-week extension) in the Albert Theatre. Candide is a co-production between Goodman and The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, which will present the staging following the Chicago run.
