Rudetsky Interviews the Jersey Boys on 'Studio A Cabaret'

The cast of Jersey Boys - winner of four 2006 Tony Awards - will join SIRIUS' Seth Rudetsky for this week's edition of "Studio A Cabaret."

"It's one of Broadway's Best rags-to-riches tales that you'll hear all about during out 2006 Tony Awards® Fourth of July Weekend - exclusively on SIRIUS!," state press notes.  The show will be broadcast on Saturday, July 1st at 6 pm ET & Sun., July 2nd at 2 pm ET.

"Rudetsky (Actors' Fund concerts, 'Seth's Broadway Chatterbox') brings Broadway's biggest stars to the Sirius studios for an hour of music & conversation, backstage gossip, unconfirmed rumor. Unrehearsed & unpredictable! His guests have included Bernadette Peters, Betty Buckley, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Harry Connick, Jr., Matthew Broderick, Marvin Hamlisch."

Jersey Boys recently won four Tony Awards--including Best Musical.  The show is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff. The show is playing at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue).

Jersey Boys "is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli (John Lloyd Young), Bob Gaudio (Daniel Reichard), Tommy DeVito (Christian Hoff) and Nick Massi (J. Robert Spencer). This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty," state press notes.

A cast recording is available now on Rhino Records.
