Rick Lyon, original Broadway cast member and creator of the puppets for Avenue Q, will perform his last show with the Las Vegas company of that show on Sunday, April 23.

Lyon will return to the Broadway cast of Avenue Q on May 2, with his first performance scheduled on Thursday, May 4. Christian Anderson currently plays the roles of Nicky, Trekkie Monster and others.

Lyon's wife, Tonya Dixon, will stay in Las Vegas and finish out the run of Avenue Q at the Wynn resort, where she is one of the actresses playing Gary Coleman. The Las Vegas production of Avenue Q, which employs two casts splitting the duties of a ten-show week, is scheduled to shutter May 28.

Lyon and his company The Lyon Puppets just finished building all the puppets for the London production of Avenue Q, which is slated to begin performances on the West End in June.
