Michael Riedel is reporting in today's The New York Post that Craig Bierko and Sutton Foster starred in a reading presentation of THE UNSINKABLE Molly Brown for Reba McEntire who is considering taking on the role on Broadway next season. The reading was directed by Kathleen Marshall.

Sometimes referred to as "The Queen of Country", McEntire has sold 41 million records in the United States and more than 60 million worldwide. In the United States, she ranks as the seventh best-selling female artist in all genres and is the second best-selling female country artist of all time. On stage, McEntire has appeared as Annie Oakley in the 2001 revival of Annie Get Your Gun followed by the Carnegie Hall concert of South Pacific.

This spirited tale of a real-life American legend follows the exploits of Molly Brown, whose feisty determination to rise above her impoverished beginnings leads her from the backwoods of Hannibal, Missouri, to the palaces of Europe. Along the way, she marries, enters the highest echelons of Monte Carlo society, survives the sinking of the Titanic and, most importantly, earns the approval she so desperately seeks of those 'beautiful people of Denver'. The show features Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson. Book by Richard Morris.
