It is with great pleasure that pianist Ron Levy announces an upcoming gala celebration, Ron Levy, Piano, and Friends, at New York's Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, November 29th at 8 PM. This event celebrates, and is in appreciation of, living composers; the program consists of sixteen pieces of music written expressly for Mr. Levy and his colleagues [the majority will be World or New York premiere performances].

The composers represented include Nancy Bloomer Deussen, Eric Ewazen, Patrick Finley, David Gilbert, James Grant, Ben Hackett, Sunbin Kim, John Lampkin, Dennis Leogrande, Fred Messner, Michael Parsons, David Sampson, Godfrey Schroth, Jeff Scott, Paul Mack Somers, and Joseph Turrin. The performers joining Mr. Levy will be E. Scott Brubaker, horn; Theron Cromer, tenor; his granddaughter Madelyne, piano; The Orpheus Club Men's Chorus, and the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Palisades Virtuosi (Margaret Swinchoski, flute/Donald Mokrynski, clarinet/ & Ron Levy, piano).

"This concert is dedicated to living composers who have immeasurably enriched our lives with the products of their creative imaginations and undaunted determination. Their work has been produced in a time of aesthetic uncertainty and foment, and often despite paltry financial renumeration and / or commercial or academic recognition." - Ron Levy

Tickets are $25.00 and are available at the Carnegie Hall Box Office, 154 West 57th Street, or can be charged by calling CarnegieCharge at 212-247-7800 or at the Carnegie Hall website, www.carnegiehall.org.
