R.Evolución Latina presents its 2nd Annual D2BG Children's Performing Arts Camp, where Broadway stars lend their time and talent.

R.Evolución Latina has announced their 2nd annual Dare to Go Beyond Children's Performing Arts Camp taking place July 29th through July 31st 2009 at Pearl Studios (500 W. 8th Ave Bet 35th and 36th Street)

To date, artists scheduled to teach include: Michael Balderrama, Ryan Beck, Michelle Brugal, Tony Chiroldes, Rogelio Douglas, Gabriela Garcia, Chris Harbur, John Herrera, Ian Hersey, Stephanie Klemons, Dan Micciche, Jose Ortiz - Dr. Drum, Jon Rua, Luis Salgado, Enrique Segura, and Kat Sherrell. The professionals come from Broadway shows and feature films such as In The Heights, The Lion King, CHICAGO the Musical, The Little Mermaid, Across the Universe and many others.

Camp instructors donate their time by providing expertise, free of charge, in an effort to support R.Evolución Latina children'.s programs to mentor the next generation of performing artists, ages 7-17. The syllabus is especially created for children who don't have access to the arts, which allows them to unlock their hidden potential and talents. It also instills the R.Evolución Latina Dare to Go Beyond motto and encourages them to take it back to their communities.

"In my observation, it's the most direct way to reach young minds and students at a time when they can be reached. They will have a positive and profound experience. It will be at the very least, something they'll remember fondly, and at the very best, something that will change their lives," Enrique Segura

R.Evolución Latina children's programs are developed to provide instruction in the arts as well as encourage personal growth through individual relationships with the students. Thanks to sponsors such as Stay Inspired, 1849 Restaurant, Steps on Broadway, Pearl Studios,Tezoro Productions, Broadway Cares Equity Fight AIDS , Broadway Dance Center, TonyLovers and donations from individuals such as Jaime Camil, these programs thrive and continue to develop much needed skills and opportunities for young teens.

Interested individuals can also sponsor one or more children at the three-day camp for a tax-deductible donation of $75 per child. Just visit www.revolucionlatina.org and make a donation.
