Stewart F. Lane, a three-time Tony Award-winning producer (Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Will Rogers Follies, La Cage Aux Folles) and co-owner and operator of New York City's Palace Theater, has just written a new book, Let's Put On a Show! Lane, who also wrote Off Broadway shows In The Wings and If It Was Easy, draws on personal experience in his new book, which serves as a show-creating guide from inception to its final curtain.

Press notes state, "Let's Put On a Show! gives novice and first-time theatre producers at all levels, but especially in community and regional theatre, a Broadway insider's advice for successfully staging a performance-even when you don't have a big Broadway budget. Lane offers how-to's on the fundamentals of every aspect of production, including: selecting a show, finding a theatre space, putting together your creative team, holding auditions and making casting decisions, scheduling rehearsals, promoting the show, and handling all of the basic elements of bringing a production from the page to the stage."

Lane's book also provides playwrights with tips for dealing with reviews, as well as encouraging stories from his personal experience as a producer and director. For more information, visit his website, www.MrBroadway.com.
