Directed by Hourglass Artistic Director Elyse Singer, Week 6 of 365 Days/365 Plays will ring in the holidays Downtown-style with a number of musical performances on December 20th.

The performers include: Tony & Alyson (members of the band BETTY - a frequent contributor to Showtime's "The 'L' Word") and cabaret star Julian Fleisher. The cast willalso  include Downtown stalwarts such as Obie winners David Greenspan, Steven Rattazzi and Alice Playten plus Dion Graham, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Charles Parnell and Molly Powell.  There will also be food, drink and a holiday raffle featuring iPods donated by Tekserve. The holiday theatrical event will take place Wednesday, December 20th from 7pm-9pm at the brand new D-Lounge Cabaret (101 E 15th Street at Union Square East). Seating is extremely limited.

In November 2002, the Pulitzer prize-winning Suzan-Lori Parks sat down and committed to writing a play a day for the next 365 days. Over 600 theaters have joined a grassroots premiere of the plays in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Colorado, Greater Texas, Los Angeles, Minnesota, New York, The Northeast, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, The Southeast, Universities (365U), Washington D.C. and the Western U.S. The 365 National Festival is produced by Suzan-Lori Parks and Bonnie Metzgar.

Throughout the year in numerous locations throughout New York City, over 65 theaters - curated by The Public Theater and the 365 National Festival - will each perform one week of these brief, brilliant snapshots from the imagination of one of America's leading playwrights. In addition to these presentations, participants will be invited to share their work at First Sundays, a free public performance series at The Public the first Sunday of every month that will showcase the previous month of the play cycle.

Tickets for Hourglass Group's presentation of 365 Days/365 Plays are extremely limited. The show runs Wednesday December 20, 2006 at 7PM. D-Lounge is located at 101 East 15th Street, beneath the Daryl Roth Theatre (corner of 15th Street & Union Square East, accessible from the 4/5/6/N/R/L at Union Square).
