According to London Theatre Guide, The National Theatre has selected nine new plays to be presented as part of its NT Connections program, which features plays commissioned for and about young people.

Afters the plays are showcased at the National from July 12th through 17th, they will be presented in schools and youth theatres across the UK and Ireland, at both home theatres and in sixteen regional partnership theatres.

The plays include: In The Garden by David Farr (Artistic Director of the Lyric Hammerstein); Scary Play by Judith Johnson, DeoxyriboNucleic Acid by Dennis Kelly (Osama the Hero), Red Sky by Bryony Lavery (Frozen), Show And Tell by Laline Paull, The Black Remote by Glyn Maxwell, A Year And A Day by Christina Reid, A Bridge To The Stars by Henning Mankell (in a new adaptation by John Retallack), and Baby Girl by Roy Williams (writer-in-residence of The Almeida Theatre).

The National Theatre is currently presenting Tom Morris and Emma Rice's A Matter of Life and Death, adapted from the classic film by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
