The fifth and final season will debut on Friday, June 12 on STARZ.
On Monday, June 8, STARZ held a red carpet premiere event at The Times Center in New York City in celebration of the fifth and final season of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan." Take a look at photos from the carpet below.
In attendance were series stars including Tony-winner Patina Miller, Tony Award nominee Hailey Kilgore, MeKai Curtis, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Joey Bada$$, Shameik Moore, Tony Danza, Tony Award nominee Wendell Pierce, Erika Woods, Leslie Grossman and Joe Pantoliano.
Also present were creator, executive producer and showrunner Sascha Penn and executive producer Mark Canton, as well as Jeffrey Hirsch, President and CEO of STARZ; Alison Hoffman, President of STARZ Networks; and Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming, STARZ.
“Power: Origins” cast members Spence Moore and Charlie Mann were also in attendance. Guests also included “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” cast member and Tony Award nominee Christiani Pitts, “P-Valley” star Gail Bean, “Love Island” season seven star Chelley Bissainthe, actor Da’Vinchi and influencers Lou Young, Brittany Lynn and Candis Grace.
“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” is a prequel series in the Power universe that explores fan-favorite character Kanan Stark’s (Mekai Curtis) entry into the drug business and his evolution from an innocent teenager into a ruthless kingpin, influenced by his mother’s manipulation and deception.
In the season five premiere episode, entitled “By Blood,” Kanan makes a move that changes the Thomas family forever, while Unique tries to regain a foothold in Queens as Breeze’s new drug enterprise takes shape. The new episode will debut on Friday, June 12 on STARZ. Watch a sneak peek clip here.
