Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2013-14 season with A Streetcar Named Desire byTennessee Williams, directed by Mark Rucker, September 20-October 12 at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is tonight, September 26. BroadwayWorld has a first look below!

Joining the previously announced René Augesen as Blanche DuBois and Joe Manganiello as Stanley Kowalski are Adam O'Byrne as Harold "Mitch" Mitchell and Sarah Sokolovic as Stella Kowalski. The cast also includes Phillip Christian, Nick Erkelens, Mercedes Herrero, Marc Damon Johnson, April Matthis, and Ken Ruta.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE features scenic design by Reid Thompson, costumes by Hunter Kaczorowski, lighting by Stephen Strawbridge, original music and sound by Steven Brush, dramaturgy by Helen C. Jaksch, and stage management by James Mountcastle.

In the steamy French Quarter of New Orleans, an electrifying battle of wills ignites between Southern Belle BlancheDuBois and her working class brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski. Nerves fraying and beauty fading, Blanche is both repelled and intrigued by Stanley's primal brutishness-even as he threatens to reveal her darkest secrets and destroy her illusions.

Tickets for A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE range from $20-98 and are available online at yalerep.org, by phone at (203) 432-1234, and in person at the Yale Rep Box Office (1120 Chapel Street, at York Street). Student, senior, and group rates are also available.
