On Sunday, May 19, at The Globe Theatre, 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (www.gmcla.org), whose mission is to change hearts and minds through the power of music, presented the 2013 Voice Awards. This year the organization honored American Idol, AT&T, activists Fred Arens and Jason Duguay, and writer/director Liesel Reinhart. The Voice Awards were hosted by actor and activist Wilson Cruz with performances by Alex Newell (Glee) and De'Borah (The Voice). Scroll down for photos from the arrivals!
The 2013 Voice Award honorees included: American Idol (Peisha McPhee, American Idol voice coach will be accepting), Fred Arens, Jason Duguay, Liesel Reinhart, as well as special guests Tim Bagley (Web Therapy, Will & Grace), Craig Chester (actor, writer, director), Emerson Collins (actor, producer), Wilson Cruz (GLAAD National Spokesperson), De'Borah (The Voice), Chris Caldwell Eckert (actor), Carolyn Hennesy (General Hospital, True Blood), JDA (American Idol), Lorri L. Jean (CEO, LA Gay & Lesbian Center), Tilky Jones (Nashville), Robbie Laughlin (E! News), Sharon Lawrence (Rizzoli & Isles, NYPD Blue), Hana Mae Lee (Pitch Perfect), Brandon Liberati (hair/makeup artist, beauty guru), Maitland McConnell (actress), Stephanie Miller (The Stephanie MillerShow), Jonah Mowry (YouTube sensation), Alex Newell (Glee), Craig Ramsay (celebrity health expert), Robbie Rogers (pro soccer player), U.S Congressman Adam Schiff, Omar Sharif, Jr. (GLAAD National Spokesperson), Hal Sparks (actor, comedian), Carmen Twillie (singer/composer) Bruce Vilanch (actor/writer/comedian), Ann Walker (actress), Michael Welch (Twilight, Joan of Arcadia), Marissa Jaret Winokur (actress), and others.

The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (www.gmcla.org) has garnered international acclaim for artistic excellence while remaining deeply rooted in service to the Los Angeles community and beyond by promoting civil rights, tolerance and acceptance through music. The organization was founded in 1979 during the emergence of the gay civil rights movement.
