Bea Arthur (Tony Award-winner for Mame, Threepenny Opera, "The Golden Girls," "Maude") returned to NYC for one night only for a reprise of her 2002 Tony-nominated one-woman show at Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street) on Monday, November 21st. The show was a benefit for NYC's own Ali Forney Center (www.aliforneycenter.org), which provides housing and life-saving resources for NYC's homeless LGBT youth.

The show—entitled Bea Arthur: Back on Broadway (& 95th Street) featured "Bea onstage, barefoot, with her amazing pianist Billy Goldenberg. She riffed "on decades of showbiz madness—from whooping it up with Ethel Merman and Tallulah Bankhead to all of her legendary TV work. And yes, there's lots of fun songs and smart, bawdy (and even gay-flavored) humor. Plus, a nice recipe for lamb."
