Jordan Roth, president of Jujamcyn Theatres kicked off his season of BROADWAY TALKS at the 92nd Street Y on Sunday night September 20th with a conversation with George Takei. Scroll down for photos!
Takei, who is currently in rehearsals for his Broadway debut in the new musical ALLEGIANCE, talked candidly in front of a sold out audience, about his early career, STAR TREK, Leonard Nimoy, his parents, his time in the Japanese-American Internment Camp at a very young age, his LGBTQ advocacy, and of course, the new musical, which he has described as his "legacy project".
ALLEGIANCE begins previews at the Longacre Theatre on October 6th with opening night set for November 8th. Takei stars alongside Lea Salonga and Telly Leung.
