Photo Flash: A Class Act NY Presents FROM L.A. TO BROADWAY Featuring Lauren 'Coco' Cohn

On Monday February 18, A Class Act NY, the award-winning acting studio, proudly presented "From L.A. to Broadway," a cabaret featuring talented young actors performing songs from Broadway shows that had their origination on the silver screen.

Broadway's Lauren Cohn, who played Rosie in MAMMA MIA, hosted and directed the cabaret. Coco, as she is known amongst her friends and students has been teaching for the studio for over 6 years! Willem Oosthuysen and Jon Nelson provided musical direction. A Class Act NY's Artistic Director, Jessica R. Grosman, produced the Cabaret that was presented at the historic Triad Theatre.

The Cabaret featured songs from current Broadway hits like MEAN GIRLS, FROZEN, WAITRESS, THE LION KING, ANASTASIA, and KINKY BOOTS in addition to classic favorites like FOOTLOOSE, BRING IT ON, BILLY ELLIOT, NEWSIES, and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. By far, the highlight of the evening was the penultimate number, Lauren's impressive rendition of "If You Hadn't, But You Did" from TWO ON THE ISLE.
