Seth Rudetsky celebrated the release of his new book "Broadway Nights" Actors Fund Benefit reading, with the cast of [title of show], Mary Testa, Andrea McArdle and Andrea Martin.
Rudetsky's new comic novel is culled from all of his years in Broadway pits – "Broadway Nights" is about a piano sub named Stephen Sheerin who can't understand why he's not a Broadway conductor after subbing for years. He finally gets an offer to Music Direct his first Broadway show (jukebox, of course) and has to deal with his competitive Opera Diva mother, a scheming assistant music director, his boyfriends other boyfriend, an ex-alcoholic leading lady and two phenomenally cheap producers.
