Over 1,000 kids flocked to Madame Tussauds New York for the annual "Kids' Night on Broadway" Pre-Theater Bash on Tuesday, January 31st from 2:30PM at 6PM at Madame Tussauds New York (234 West 42nd Street). Once inside, the kids enjoyed a free performance from the cast of Altar Boyz and intermingled with performers such as Kate Wetherhead and Todd Buonopane of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. They had their faces painted by the original makeup artist from The Phantom of the Opera, and went on a scavenger hunt among the famed wax statues. John O'Hurley (ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," Chicago) was also there to sign autographs. This marks the 10th annual "Kids' Night on Broadway," a program of the League of American Theatres and Producers that allows young people attend the theatre free of charge when accompanied by a full paying adult. "Madame Tussauds New York is an interactive 'must do' attraction that provides guests with unique opportunities to create memories with some of the world's biggest icons," state press notes.
