This Wednesday, May 29th at 5:00 p.m. in conjunction with the publication of Peter Filichia's new book STRIPPERS, SHOWGIRLS, AND SHARKS, the Drama Book Shop, 250 West 40th Street (between 8th Ave & Broadway) will host a presentation. Peter's book looks at Best Musical Tony Losers. He will be interviewed by Ken Bloom, author of Broadway Musicals: The 101 Greatest. They'll discuss the logical choices, outrages, close races and upsets that have occurred in musical categories in the 66-year history of the Tony Awards.

Peter Filichia is the theater critic emeritus for the Star-Ledger in Newark, New Jersey and News 12 New Jersey. He has been a columnist for Playbill, Theater.com, Theatermania and Theater Week. He is a currently a columnist for www.masterworksbroadway.com as well as www.mtishows.com and www.kritzerland.com. Filichia is the author of Let's Put on a Musical, now in its third printing; Broadway Musicals: The Biggest Hit of the Season / The Biggest Flop of the Season and Broadway Musical MVPs 1960-2010: The Most Valuable Players of the Last 50 Seasons. Before joining the Theatre World Awards in 1996 as host and head of the selection committee, he served four terms as president of the Drama Desk.
