Parsons Dance, in partnership the Ice Theater of New York's City Skate Concert Series, announces a presentation of TWIST on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1pm at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, between 49th and 50th Streets, New York City. In the case of rain, the performance will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 1pm.

In addition to Parsons Dance, the program will include multiple companies presenting work on the theme of Masculine/Feminine: Representations of Gender Roles in Figure Skating.   

TWIST is a duet choreographed by David Parsons specifically for Ice Theater of New York in 2003. The presentation is part of Ice Theater of New York's City Skate Concert series. Ice Theater of New York, the nation's premiere ice dance ensemble, has changed the face of figure skating by creating works that integrate the sensibilities of contemporary dance, music and art. The series runs on Wednesdays from February to April and is free to the public. Performances are as follows:

"Energy Flow" exploring the meditative qualities of ice skating

"Angel Part I,"Ann Carlson's Tibetan chant piece, which she created for the company in 1989/90; new works, including choreography by the winner of the Young Artist Showcase
