"Paris Hilton" (Kevin Shinick), making her New York stage debut this summer, refuses to leave in Doug Field's latest play, I Love Paris which has extended now for a second time through October 25th.  Performances, currently in progress, began on Monday, July 26th, and were originally scheduled to end Monday, August 30th at the Blue Heron Arts Center (123 E. 24th St. at Park Avenue South).  It is currently running Tuesdays at 8 PM through September 28th, and will switch back to Mondays beginning October 4th.  Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased by calling (212) 868-4444 or by going to www.smarttix.com.

Veteran Broadway actor Kevin Shinick (absolutely NOT in drag) plays Paris Hilton in a one-man show which captures an intimate moment with the world renowned socialite as she prepares to audition for the fifth co-host seat of the ABC daytime television talk show, "The View".  While she waits in the green room, Paris reminisces about her whirlwind life, the high points, the low points and all of the fascinating points in between.  Baring it all like never before--her straight to video performance not withstanding--she takes on even the most controversial topics.

Award winning playwright Doug Field is best known to New York audiences for his hit plays, Down South and An Enola Gay Christmas, which just played during the 2003 holiday season.  The New York Times called Down South "Irresistibly silly" while New York Magazine picked An Enola Gay Christmas as one of the "Top Five Holiday Shows" in New York.  His other plays include Jeannie Fitzpatrick Is Angry and C-Cup.  His next play, The Last Generation, debuts this August at the Fritz Blitz Festival of New Plays in San Diego, where he won the Outstanding Playwright Award for his previous entry, The Flower of Dubuque.

Director Timothy Haskell recently directed the rock and roll disenfranchisement comedy Corporate Rock also at the Blue Heron.  He created and directed the recent cult hit Road House that transferred from Off-Off Broadway to Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre earlier this season.

Actor Kevin Shinick is best known as the host of the Emmy Award winning television series, "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?" and is also a Broadway veteran, having performed such classics as Night Must Fall with Matthew Broderick, The School For Scandal with Tony Randall, The Seagull with Ethan Hawke, The Government Inspector with Lainie Kazan and the Tony nominated productions of Timon of Athens and Saint Joan.  His Off-Broadway credits include Doug Field's previous hit play, Down South, at the Rattlestick Theater.  Kevin has also served as the actor, writer and director for the feature film It's About Time, the controversial play, McBeth--Over 2 Million Slain (NY Fringe Festival) and the multi-million dollar spectacular Spider-Man Live!, a world touring event that premiered to sold out houses at Radio City Music Hall.
