WHAT*: Extreme athlete and civilian George Chmiel embarked on an awareness and education expedition on 9/11/16 in San Diego, CA.As he has run across our nation, he has visited a VA hospital and visited with countless veterans along the way, documenting his journey and shining a light on the very real crisis of veteran suicide and PTSD.Chmiel will make his final state crossing into New York via the George Washington Bridge bike path, before embarking on a Unity Walk with citizens and partners to Ground Zero, and concluding with a public speaking event in Liberty Park.
