PLAY IT AGAIN: THE MUSIC OF ZOE SARNAK, a musical anthology of Sarnak's work, will have a one-night-only concert at Joe's Pub tonight, April 8, 2013. Showtime is at 9:30p.

PLAY IT AGAIN will bring a full set of music by Zoe Sarnak to Joe's Pub. It will feature a mixture of folk/rock/theater selections from A Lasting Impression (NJ Playwrights Award and Pace New Musicals 2012), Orphan Songs and will DEBUT material from Painless-a new project with book by Michael Kimmel (The Last Goodbye, Turn of the Screw) and music and lyrics by Zoe Sarnak.

The concert is directed by Michael Kimmel, and will feature Kelli Barrett (Baby It's You), Matt DeAngelis (Hair), Laura Dreyfuss (Once, Hair), Emma Hunton (Rent, Next to Normal, Spring Awakening), Leslie McDonel (American Idiot, Hairspray) Taylor Noble (A Lasting Impression), Krista Pioppi (Spring Awakening National Tour), Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal National Tour), Kacie Sheik (Hair), Wallace Smith (Godspell), Alexandra Socha (Spring Awakening), Gabe Violett (Spring Awakening) and Tim Young (Next to Normal). The concert is produced by Alina Gutiérrez.

ZOE SARNAK (Writer) Zoe Sarnak is a composer, lyricist and playwright. She graduated from Harvard University in 2009 magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Sarnak wrote the book, music and lyrics for The Quad, developed and performed at Harvard's Loeb Experimental Theatre. Her music has been showcased in concerts including Cutting Edge Composers, NYTB D-Lounge, Composers Sing Composers, A Very MARY Holiday Gala at Playwrights Horizons and many more. Sarnak has four full- length musicals in development including Mixtape, featured in Silent Street Productions 2012 season and A Lasting Impression, winner of Pace New Musicals 2012 and performed off-Broadway at the 4th Street Theatre at New York Theatre Workshop in August of 2012. A Lasting Impression won the 2013 NJ Playwright's contest and will be produced there regionally in Summer 2013.

MICHAEL KIMMEL (Director) Michael Kimmel is the Creator/Adaptor of The Last Goodbye (TLG), a musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet using music of famed recording artist Jeff Buckley.

In concert, TLG has performed at The Wild Project, Joe's Pub at The Public Theater and The Westside Arts Center (Public Theater, Prod.) TLG had its world premiere at The Williamstown Theater Festival in

2010, where the sold-out run went on to become the highest grossing show ever to grace the Nikos stage. With director Alex Timbers recently joining the creative team, TLG just completed a three-week workshop in anticipation of a regional production.

Michael is also the creator/writer of Turn of The Screw, a modern, musical adaptation of the classic Henry James Novella with music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini (Smash), which had it's concert debut at Lincoln Center this past summer. Michael and Drew are also collaborating on the anticipated Untitled Pop Musical, focusing on the rise and fall of pop star Jenna Styles, expected to debut in 2013.
