The Plain City Music, Arts & Theatre Society Will Present America 250-Themed SPRING RING & SING Dinner Concert
Re-Markie-Bellz handbell choir performs at Journey Community Church under directors Tammy Carlson and Lucas Gutierrez
The Plain City Music, Arts & Theatre Society will present their second annual handbell dinner concert, Spring Ring & Sing, at Journey Community Church on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 6 p.m. Featuring the Re-Markie-Bellz community handbell choir, a part of PCMATS.
Under the direction of Tammy Carlson and Lucas Gutierrez, the Re-Markie-Bellz invites the whole family for an hors d'oeuvre-style dinner and concert to celebrate the nation's musical history. Gather for a wide range of music from patriotic to pop, sacred to Broadway as well as good ol' americana with the help of the Pleasant Valley Voices. Stepping outside of the usual handbell setlist, prepare to hear songs like "Happy Together," "The Longest Time," and more chiming like never before!
"When you think of handbells, you often think of the classic hymns you'd hear in church, but we get to do more," says Re-Markie-Bellz co-director Lucas Gutierrez. "As a community bell choir, we love playing songs you know and love in a way you probably haven't heard before!"
Tickets are $15 per person. Tickets are available at pcmats.ludus.com. The performance will take place at the Journey Community Church, located at 11100 Lafayette Plain City Rd, Plain City, OH 43064.
As the kick-off to their 2026 season, PCMATS is also looking forward to presenting their multi-generational musical production of Narnia this Summer on July 23-26 at the Jonathan Alder High School Auditeria. Additionally, PCMATS is excited to continue their America-250 celebration with the world premiere of a historical one-man show about the area's first pioneer, Path of the Pioneer, coming to the Jonathan Alder Junior High Auditorium September 11-12.
