Asolo Repertory Theatre today announced further details and pricing for special concert, An Intimate Evening with Frank Wildhorn & Friends. The starry concert features musical theatre legend and Bonnie & Clyde composer Frank Wildhorn at the piano, starring Rob Evan and Laura Osnes, with Marlyn Sanchez, and Jack Murphy; singing songs from Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wonderland, Bonnie & Clyde and more.
The show, to be held on December 21st at 8 p.m. in Asolo Rep's Mertz Theatre, replaces the Holiday concert originally scheduled. Prices range from $45 - $65, with a special "orchestra seat plus post show reception" ticket available for $80. "Coming to Florida to put on a show or to make music will always be coming home for me. Florida is where my crazy musical adventure began and everything that's happened to me in music I owe to my experiences growing up here... the people, the places, the experiences. In 1999, Frank became the first American composer in 22 years to have three shows running simultaneously on Broadway: Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Civil War. Frank served as music director for the Goodwill Games in New York City (1998). He wrote the song "Gold", the opening number for the 2002 Winter Olympics, sung by
