OVERRULED Immersive Party Theatre Experience Comes to Papillon Bistro & Bar This Month

Shiyr Productions presents Overruled, a lesser known but brilliant one-act play by George Bernard Shaw. Performances will be September 16-18, 2016 at the Papillon Bistro & Bar, Prohibition Room, 22 E. 54th Street (bet. 5th & Madison Avenues), New York, NY 10022.

Overruled, according to Shaw, is a little piece taking the form of a farcical comedy and contributing to the extensive dramatic literature commenting on the gallantries of married people. Shiyr Productions will be present this hilarity in an Immersive, Party-Theatre format. The audience is invited to mingle with the cast in their finest "Gatsby" attire while eavesdropping on two non-traditional couples during an evening of confusing revelations about love and marriage.

Producer Tamra Paselk states, "G. Bernard Shaw once said that his way of joking was to tell the truth. He thought it the funniest joke in the world. We are living in a world that needs laughter and Shiyr Productions chose Overruled because it is guaranteed to delight both actor and audience. Add cocktails, canapés and a 1920's costume theme to find yourself in a New York moment you'll not soon forget!"
