Norwich Theatre's 3 MIGRANT WOMEN to Tour the UK Starting at Theatre503
The production will open at Theatre503 London, on 18 May 2026, before touring to Nottingham Playhouse, Lichfield Garrick and Norwich Theatre Stage Two.
Norwich Theatre today will present the upcoming tour of 3 Migrant Women, a striking and intimate exploration of migration, memory, and the profound cost of leaving everything behind. The show will open at Theatre503 in London before embarking on a four-date tour.
Created and performed by the artists whose stories it tells, the production weaves together movement, song, and storytelling to illuminate the reality of crossing borders, both physical and emotional.
3 Migrant Women has been created from Being Migrant, a flagship project part of Norwich Theatre's Theatre of Sanctuary programme. This unique production was created by a community of theatre makers with lived experience of displacement, directed by Miche Montague and developed with the creative support of the internationally acclaimed Gecko Theatre.
Three Migrant Women offers audiences a rare chance to move beyond headlines and statistics to centre lived experience, celebrating resilience, humour and connection in the face of uncertainty.
Miche Montague, Creative Communities Producer at Norwich Theatre and Director of 3 Migrant Women, said: "Working on 3 Migrant Women has been an incredible journey of trust and discovery. The courageous weaving of life-stories, told by people from displaced backgrounds, offers a powerful intimacy that touches the soul. I couldn't be more proud of our extraordinary company of theatre makers and this provoking new piece of work."
Three women. Three journeys. One shared search for home. 3 Migrant Women is an exploration of migration, memory, and the cost of leaving everything behind. Created and performed by the artists whose stories it tells, the production weaves movement, song, and storytelling to illuminate the reality of crossing borders, both physical and emotional.
Through the lives of Etta, Daria, and Deniz with her husband, Suat, we witness the fragments of lives packed into suitcases and the quiet strength required to rebuild in an unfamiliar world.
Norwich Theatre is a Theatre of Sanctuary, committed to providing a supportive, creative space for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to exchange global theatre traditions and cultures, and to celebrate and uplift stories from the margins of society.
The production will open at Theatre503 London, on 18 May 2026, before touring to Nottingham Playhouse, Lichfield Garrick and Norwich Theatre Stage Two between 4 & 5 Sep 26.
