No Name's Word Up Super Storytellers Bring Their Tales Downtown

"No Name at Word Up Super Storytellers: Downtown Edition" will appear as part of the People's Improv Theater's (P.I.T.'s) StoryFest: A Festival of Storytelling, at the P.I.T. Loft on W. 29th Street in Manhattan on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 7pm.

Co-hosted by No Name & A Bag O' Chips founder Eric Vetter and Michele Carlo (author, Fish Out Of Agua), and featuring stories from Leighann Lord (Star Talk with Neil de Grasse Tyson), Mike Brown (Comedy Outliers), Maggie Nuttall (New York Frigid Festival) and Eric Vetter, the show will also include tunes from Miles Alexander Blue Spruce, trivia, prizes and more. Curated by international storyteller Harmon Leon (TALE, Big Fat Racist Show), StoryFest: A Festival of Storytelling is a three-day festival highlighting the wide variety of themed story shows that dot the New York landscape-trumpeting the best of the scene.

No Name's "Super Storytellers" show, which features New York's best established and emerging authors and storytellers, is regularly held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Word Up Community Bookshop / Libreria Comunitaria in Washington Heights (https://wordupbooks.wordpress.com/).

Eric Vetter, who has produced multi-cultural variety shows at alternative spaces and venues in the New York-metro area for over two decades, says this about Word Up Bookstore: "There is a wonderful spirit, wonderful things are happening at the volunteer-run Word Up Community Bookshop up in the Heights-and we wanted to bring some of that spirit downtown."
