The third recording of The Nielsen Project -- the Philharmonic's multi-year focus on Carl Nielsen -- is now available for pre-order, and will be released on February 10, 2015, by Denmark's Dacapo label and distributed by the Naxos group.

Featuring Music Director Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic's performances of Nielsen's Symphonies No. 5 and No. 6, Sinfonia semplice, the recording is the third of four that will culminate in a boxed set coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the Danish composer's birth, June 9, 2015.

The recording is available for pre-order on Amazon, and will be available through Amazon, iTunes, and other major online music providers on February 10, 2015.

CDs will be available for purchase at "Perspectives on Nielsen: A Conversation with Principal Clarinet Anthony McGill," a free Insights at the Atrium event on January 7, 2015. Music Director Alan Gilbert will sign copies of the CD following the performance of Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto featuring Mr. McGill on January 8, 2015.
