One-in-three films at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival were impacted by graduates and students of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, including 150 directors, producers, writers, set designers, editors, cinematographers and actors.  Of the films in competition, four are directed by undergraduate alumni of the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at Tisch.  Participating Tisch students and alumni include Spike Lee, Elizabeth Olsen, Kristen Bell, Jason Ritter, Andy Samberg and many others.

For nearly 20 years NYU's Tisch School of the Arts has been an Institute Associate of the Sundance Film Festival, maintaining a year-round relationship with The Sundance Institute characterized by mutually-aligned missions to nurture independent vision and thought. The Sundance Film Festival begins January 19, 2012 in Park City, Utah.
