NY Theatre Magazine Launches Today; Features Tracee Chimo, Sharr White, Sebastian Arcelus

By:

New York Theatre, a bimonthly print publication, launches today from Summer, Inc. and will serve as a record for the New York Stage. This artfully produced journal will take you behind the scenes with brilliantly crafted profiles on the playwrights, directors, producers and actors who make it all possible. New York Theatre is the magazine designed for the theatergoer whose interest goes beyond the curtain call.

"New York Theatre aims to become an indispensable guide for the New York stage," said Publisher Rob Summer. "Being the only print magazine exclusively covering theatre allows us to provide a comprehensive and thoughtful editorial focus with the theatergoer in mind."

The first issue is on newsstands now and will feature articles on actress Tracee Chimo, Playwright Sharr White, and Actor Sebastian Arcelus. Find out why Chimo is "even better when she's bad" and how she has an uncanny ability to transform into her characters both physically and emotionally. Learn how White balances a double life of being an ad man by day and fulfilling his literary dreams by night. Discover what inspired Arcelus to seek out the lead role in John Grisham's classic A Time to Kill.

In addition to the feature articles, the first issue of New York Theatre will include interviews with Sue Frost of Junkyard Dog Productions and actress and playwright Halley Feiffer. Every issue of the magazine will also have a comprehensive list and summary of all shows currently on Broadway and Off Broadway.
