The New York Actors Ensemble in association with the WorkShop Theater Company will present Shakespeare's The Tragedie of Macbeth directed by Charles E. Gerber (founding member of WorkShop Theater, Disney's Beauty and the Beast), featuring David M. Mead in the title role.

The New York Actors Ensemble production of The Tragedie of Macbeth "dispenses with modern trappings and politically correct messages and envisions this timeless tale of ambition and regret as it might have been done in Shakespeare's time. With clanging broadswords and mystic apparitions, this will be a faithful rendering of Shakespeare's masterpiece," press notes state.

The production will also star Susan Angelo, Letty Ferrer, Alexandra Devin, Ben Sumrall, Gregory Adair, Michael James Anderson, Mick Bleyer, Kenneth Cavett, Mike Finesilver, Brooke Fulton, Justin Gibbs, Leanne Littlestone, Audey Maeve Hager, Edward Myers, Jake Myers, and Clare Patterson.

The Tragedie of Macbeth begins performances on Friday, January 5th at 8pm and opens Sunday, January 7th at 4 pm.  Performances run Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 pm, Saturdays at 1 pm and 8 pm and Sundays at 4 pm through January 21st.  Tickets cost $18.00 or $10.00 for student and seniors.  TDF is accepted.   For reservations and information call 212-695-4173 ext 5 or visit www.macbeth2007.com. The WorkShop Theater is located at 312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor just off of 8th Avenue.
