Molina and Lazar Take Part in Composer's Voice with Mark Adamo, March 6

Sweeney Todd's Lauren Molina and The Light in the Piazza's Aaron Lazar will take part in The Composer's Voice: An Evening with Mark Adamo on Monday, March 6th at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

Molina and Lazar will be joined by opera singers Emily Pulley and Chad Shelton in the master class, which will feature their preparing songs from Adamo's operas Little Women and Lysistrata. The latter work, Adamo's newest opera, which will have its New York premiere at the New York City Opera from March 21st through April 5th.

"The Composer's Voice will feature some of the greatest living composers coaching some of America's most renowned singing-actors as they prepare roles for the stage," according to press notes on the new series, which is presented by American Lyric Theatre.

Molina is making her Broadway debut as Johanna in Sweeney Todd, while Lazar plays Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza. His other Broadway credits include Oklahoma! and The Phantom of the Opera.

Tickets for The Composer's Voice are $20, and half price tickets ($10) are available in advance, in person at the box office for everyone under 35: at www.skirballcenter.nyu.edu, through Ticket Central (212) 279-4200 and in person at the Shagan Box Office at the Skirball Center (566 LaGuardia Place, off Washington Square South).
