Moira Danis CELTIC LEGACY Returns to the Cabaret Stage

Celtic Legacy marks the return to the cabaret stage of singer Moira Danis in a show celebrating the beauty, power and vitality of Irish music. This is the latest in a string of hightly sucessful shows and CD's (including Some People's Lives, the 2013 Bistro Award Winner for Outstanding Recording). The first performance will be Saturday, December 2nd at 7 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama.

Working once again with her brilliant music director Wells Hanley, along with Noah Hoffeld on cello and Mike Lunoe on percussion, Moira will present a century spanning view of Celtic music. Inspired by a recent visit to her ancestors homeland, this show will include material by songwriters both old and new, from traditional tunes to current songs by the likes of U2 and Phil Coulter.

Using a rich musical tapestry, Moira will celebrate not only her own heritage, but the musical legacy Ireland has given to the world. Directed by award-winning director Gerry Geddes, Celtic Legacy is a moving, joyous, dramatic reminder of music's ability to capture a moment in time and provide a snapshot of a country, a struggle, a history, a people and preserve it for generations to come. It will also allow audiences to once again experience the gorgeous vocals of Moira Danis, of whom critics have said: "...intelligence, sensitivity and lovely singing ", "...cabaret at its best", and "...will damn near levitate anyone who responds to excellence of song and singer."
