Macy Gray and David Murray Infinity Quartet will be hitting the SubCulture stage four times between Wednesday June 19th and Thursday June 20th. The gifted songwriter and dazzling singer has won two Grammy's, two MTV Awards and sold over 15 million records. David Murray is a Grammy award winner who is considered by many to be among the greatest and most versatile saxophonist, composers, and bandleaders this country has produced. This show will celebrate the release of his latest album, Be My Monster Love, available June 11th.

In other news, Tawiah will be making her US debut on Tuesday, June 25th. She has been discovered and admired by the likes of upper echelon artist like Mark Ronson, Corinne Bailey Rae, CeeLo Green, The Guillemots and Gilles Peterson and even performed with Erykah Badu. She has also collaborated with Cee Lo Green on the remix for "I Want You".

To date, Macy's career has produced two Grammys, two MTV awards, over 15 million units sold, and a thriving acting career. Together, they will bring their show 'Stomping and Singin' the Blues bridges Blues, Pop, Soul and Jazz' to their four performances at SubCulture. Be prepared to feel, think and reflect: this is what Tawiah's music is all about. A Ghanaian born and raised in London, this singer possesses a soul-piercing voice that comes straight from the heart. Her career took off when Mark Ronson personally requested her to be the front woman and voice on his 2007 worldwide tour. She then released her first EP "In Jodi's Bedroom" in 2008 which was praised by the British underground music scene and won Gilles Peterson's Radio1 Best Newcomer Award. Accomplishing much in her young career, she has already worked with such prestigious artists as Cee-Lo Green, Mark De Clive Lowe, Corrine Bailey Rae, Eric Lau and Wale. Tawiah's New York debut will take place at SubCulture with special guest Muhsinah and Carolyn Malachi.
