The Manhattan Theatre Club production of Ron Hutchinson's MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS, directed by Lynne Meadow, will plays its final performance on Sunday, May 8th at 7:00 PM at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS, which recently received 2 Outer Critics Circle nominations, for Outstanding Off-Broadway play and for playwright Ron Hutchinson (John Gassner Playwrighting Award nominee), will have played 30 previews and 47 performances.

The cast features Matthew Arkin, David Rasche, Douglas Sills and Karen Trott.

Set in Hollywood in 1939 and inspired by real events, MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS is a behind-the-scenes account of the collaboration between film producer David O. Selznick (Douglas Sills), director Victor Fleming (David Rasche) and screenwriter Ben Hecht (Matthew Arkin) as they write the screenplay for Gone With The Wind. Completing the cast, Karen Trott plays the role of Miss Poppenghul, Selznick's secretary.

The design team for MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS includes Santo Loquasto (set), Jane Greenwood (costumes), Rui Rita (lighting) and Obadiah Eaves (sound).

The performance schedule for MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS is: Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM, and Sunday evening performances at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $60 and can be reserved by calling CityTix at (212) 581-1212.
