MIDTOWN INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL to Return to NYC After Decade-Long Hiatus
The festival will run June 15 through July 26, 2026 at the American Theatre of Actors in New York City.
The Midtown International Theatre Festival has announced its return for the 2026 season following a nearly decade-long hiatus. The festival will run June 15 through July 26, 2026 at American Theatre of Actors as part of the venue’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Festival founder and executive producer John Chatterton is relaunching the event in association with Jay Michaels and Jessica Jennings, executive director of the American Theatre of Actors. The season will span all three theaters in the ATA complex and feature a lineup of plays, musicals, solo shows, cabaret events, and short play programming.

Festival Programming
The season will also include the MITF Short Play Lab, featuring two rotating programs of short works, as well as the inaugural Midtown International Film Festival presented by Chill Bucket Productions and Channel Indie.
Performances will take place at the Beckmann Theatre, Sargent Theatre, and Cullum Theatre within the American Theatre of Actors complex at 314 West 54th Street in Manhattan. Tickets for all performances are now on sale.
