MCC will replace a Neil LaBute play with a Neil LaBute play.  The previously-announced Swallowing Bicycles has been dropped from the season line-up; Some Girls, in its American premiere, will replace it.  The latter show will run from May 17th through June 24th at the Lucille Lortel Theatre; June 8th is the opening date.

Some Girls will also keep Swallowing Bicycles's director--Jo Bonney (A Soldier's Play, On the Mountain).  In the May 2005 London production, David Schwimmer ("Friends") headlined the caustic relationship drama that also featured Saffron Burrows, Lesley Manville, Sara Powell and Catherine Tate.  Schwimmer, who will soon appear in the upcoming Broadway revival of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, will not be with Some Girls for its American premiere; casting is currently underway.

According to London press notes, the show concerned "One Guy. Four Exes. Four Cities. One Hell of a Trip," as Schwimmer's character paid investigative visits on a number of ex-girlfriends before walking down the aisle.

MCC has previously presented LaBute's Fat Pig, The Distance from Here and The Mercy Seat.  A playwright, screenwriter and short story writer, LaBute has also penned plays such as Bash, The Shape of Things and This Is How It Goes as well as films such as Your Friends and Neighbors, In the Company of Men and Possession.

MCC will next present Glen Berger's The Wooden Breeks from February 2nd throug March 11th; directed by Trip Cullman (Dog Sees God), it will feature Veanne Cox and others.
